Ivory Fantasy?

We went to look at Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Slabs (http://www.VerdeUbatuba.com) yesterday, and (http://maplered.com) I really loved the ivory fantasy. It had drips of what looked like varnish or something on the edge of it. Does this mean it is resined? Are lighter Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s more difficult to maintain than dark?
